Deliver a superior checkout experience for cashiers and shoppers in high volume POS lanes with the MP7000. This next generation multi-plane 1D/2D imager takes scanning performance and simplicity to the next level for faster-than-ever checkout in cashier-manned and self-checkout lanes. An optional color camera enables a range of applications, such as produce recognition and loss prevention, to further improve the customer experience and maximize self-checkout success. A smart investment, the MP7000 offers an unmatched total cost of ownership (TCO) by delivering maximum uptime, minimum power consumption and an easy-to-service design with fewer parts and components. And DataCapture DNATM, Zebra’s exclusive software ecosystem, takes performance far beyond the basics — simplifying every stage of the scanning experience over the life of your device.
Keep checkout lanes moving and process more transactions per shift. With Zebra’s exclusive PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology, cashiers and self-checkout shoppers can instantly capture virtually every electronic and printed 1D or 2D barcode — including barcodes that are dirty, damaged, poorly printed and under shrinkwrap.
The MP7000 offers the largest scan volume in its class, allowing your workers to simply swipe-and-go, boosting cashier productivity and your shoppers’ checkout experience.
With the optional side scanner, customers can simultaneously scan mobile coupons, loyalty cards and impulse buy items — without slowing down the cashier.
The optional high-resolution 2.3 Megapixel color camera paves the way for new applications that deliver major business benefits. Produce recognition applications can help identify produce to streamline item selection for easier and faster self-checkouts. Loss prevention applications can use the camera to help identify suspicious transactions and ensure the proper barcode was scanned for an item. And the color camera makes it easy to build the image database needed to support these applications.
The MP7000’s sensor-based Non-Decode Events can identify when items are passed through the scanner’s field of view but a barcode is not scanned.

This feature can detect if a cashier accidentally misses a scan, as well as scan avoidance schemes when customers try to bypass the scanner to avoid paying for an item in self-checkout. When such non-decode events are detected, the MP7000, along with other POS equipment, can provide alerts and videos to the POS system, so proper mitigation actions can be taken.
When your host can’t accept the data on a label due to the barcode type, you are not taking full advantage of using barcodes at checkout. Now, you can rely on Selectable Label Identifiers to convert one symbology to a barcode type your POS system can recognize — for example, converting a QR code to Code 128.
The ability to scan Digimarc-enhanced product packages from any angle drives faster retail checkout, reducing the time shoppers spend in line.
The optional color camera can quickly and easily capture high quality images of checks, receipts, utility bills or items not on file.
The MP7000 illumination only activates when an item is in the scan zone. And since the illumination is recessed, it’s practically invisible, easy on the eyes of your cashiers and your shoppers.
Scan with abilities developed and continuously refined by a partner with more than 50 years of field-proven innovation. Zebra knows the scanning journey better than other providers. That’s why we’ve engineered into all our scanners Zebra DataCapture DNA — a suite of software capabilities to help your team adapt to future needs and achieve greater business outcomes. Develop apps faster, auto-detect and program your devices for rapid deployment, simplify fleet management and much more.
With every Zebra MP7000, you get powerful complimentary management software for easy remote management of your entire scanner solution — scanner, scale and all attached peripherals, such as a handheld scanner.
The logging agent’s Remote Diagnostics capabilities automate the recording of scanner asset information, health and statistics, configuration settings and barcode data — giving you the information needed for event verification, blockchain traceability, pilot site ROI generation, troubleshooting and predictive fleet-wide trend analysis.
With Zebra’s Preferred Symbol, the MP7000 can capture and output only the preferred barcode, so workers no longer have to waste time physically covering nearby barcodes before scanning.
With Multi-Code Data Formatting (MDF), the MP7000 can capture multiple barcodes with a single scan and transmit only the barcodes you need, in the order your application expects.
The MP7000 is designed to easily fit into your existing cash wrap, providing a cost-effective path to deploying the latest POS technology in your checkout lanes.
Our intelligent illumination system consumes up to 60 percent less power than competitive devices, greatly reducing power consumption and cost.
With solid state technology, the MP7000 has no moving parts, providing the fewest failure points in this class. The result? Fewer repairs, maximum uptime and a low total cost of ownership (TCO).
The MP7000 was designed with fewer components and parts and an upper housing that can be removed without tools. As a result, reliability is greatly improved, there are fewer parts to stock and less time is required for repair.
