Boost productivity in your hands-free workflows and be ready for the rise of 2D barcodes with the RS5000x Corded Wearable Scanner. Give your workers comfort and durability, even in challenging environments — from the freezer to the floor in warehouses, manufacturing plants and retail backrooms. Lightweight and perfectly balanced for full-shift comfort, the RS5000x is worn on a single finger on either hand, leaving both hands free to handle materials — and the swivel feature allows workers to change hands on the fly. An advanced scan engine delivers split-second scanning of any barcode in virtually any condition. Every worker can get a comfortable and secure fit with the new durable strap and quick-adjust metal buckle. Just connect the RS5000x to a Zebra wearable computer and it’s ready for work, providing the simplicity and affordability of a corded wearable scanner — with unmatched high performance rapid scanning.
The high-performance SE4770 1D/2D scan engine offers exceptional motion tolerance to ensure fast and accurate scanning — even when objects or workers are in motion. With Zebra’s PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology, workers can capture virtually any printed or digital 1D and 2D barcode — including printed barcodes that are scratched, dirty, poorly printed and even under shrinkwrap or frost. And a versatile scanning range allows workers to capture barcodes from near contact to over 3 ft (0.9m) away.
The scanner’s red laser cross-hair aimer stays bright and crisp across the scanning range for faster, more intuitive aiming and pinpoint accuracy.
With the RS5000x, you’re ready to scan Information-rich 2D barcodes that contain the wealth of data required to track and trace goods for end-to-end supply chain visibility and improved consumer safety. In critical supply chains, the use of 2D barcodes is mandated by regulatory organizations around the world. For example, the U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) requires the use of 2D barcodes to increase the safety of the food supply chain from the field to the store shelf by enabling the rapid identification and removal of recalled contaminated items — and items that have reached their expiration date. And the U.S. Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requires 2D barcodes on pharmaceuticals to protect patient safety by enabling identification and confiscation of counterfeit drugs in the supply chain.
The intuitive design requires no training. The metal quick-adjust Cam buckle enables workers to make the swift and precise adjustments required for a perfect hassle-free fit on any finger — and a rapid adoption rate.

The RS5000x works in freezers, coolers and outdoors in the subzero cold — making it ideal for grocery and pharmaceutical supply chains. The RS5000x offers the lowest operating temperature range in its class — down to -22F (-30C). And the RS5000x is drop tested across the entire operating temperature range — a must for freezer use where extreme cold can make plastics brittle and prone to shattering on impact.
Cold chain workers need to wear heavy freezer gloves. That’s why the RS5000x offers a freezer trigger mount version optimized for wearing over thick gloves. The freezer trigger features a specialized finger perch that provides a secure and comfortable fit over heavy gloves — no slipping or rotating. The finger perch also helps ensure proper blood circulation in the finger, protecting worker safety. A larger trigger pad makes it easier to actuate with freezer gloves without misfires — boosting productivity and accuracy. And since you can swap standard and freezer triggers, the RS5000x easily adapts to changing workflow and device needs.
With the convenient swivel feature, your workers can easily switch between right and left-handed operation on the fly, allowing users to choose the hand that is most comfortable — and switch hands in seconds. And there’s no need to invest in separate right- and left-hand assemblies.
The RS5000x is designed to handle drops to concrete, bumps and even high-pressure hose downs. The metal buckle and durable nylon strap on the finger mount is highly resistant to wear — and is a step up from hook and loop fasteners such as Velcro®, which can fray with repeated adjustments over time.
Simply connect the scanner’s integrated cable to a Zebra wearable computer — such as the WT6400, WT6300 and WT6000. The RS5000x instantly powers up and is ready for work — no additional pairing steps are required. And since the host computer powers the RS5000x, there’s no need to purchase and manage a separate scanner battery and charger, reducing the cost of your scanning solution.
Removable and swappable trigger assemblies enable easy replacement right on site — minimizing downtime and trips to the service depot.
Remotely manage the RS5000x with the same Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)/Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution you use today to manage your Zebra mobile devices. When the RS5000x is connected to a Zebra wearable terminal, you have complete control, able to configure settings, monitor performance and more, minimizing device management time and cost.
Eliminate unexpected repair costs and workflow disruptions with Zebra Maintenance Plans. You get a quick repair turnaround and accidental damage coverage — if it’s broken, we fix it. And you can choose the right level of support you need for your operations, including next-day “like new” device replacement.
