Bill Cate, who has long led our channel partner program and now heads up product marketing and channel ecosystem strategy, has been honored with the 2023 Channel Lifetime Achievement Award by Channelnomics and Channel Focus.
Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive named Kelly Nothaft as a recipient of the 2023 Women in Supply Chain award, which honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network.
Cristen Kogl, Zebra’s Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary was named to the GC Powerlist: Illinois 2023.
Our Chief Security Officer, Mike Zachman, “took home the gold” for the Women in IT Awards USA Edition in the category of Ally of the Year. He was also honored as part of HMG Strategy’s Global Leadership Recognition Program and a winner of the 2023 Top 100 CISOs award.
Stony Brook University named Scott Froehlich, Zebra’s Senior Director of Operations, as its Diversity Champion.
Rhonda Green, Escalations Specialist in Zebra’s sales organization and the IEEE Long Island Chapter Chairperson, earned the prestigious Diamond Award from LISTnet for her leadership and involvement in the greater Long Island technology community.
Together with our partner BicData, Zebra won the GS1 Brasil Automation Award in the “Market Application in Complete Store Management” category. We were recognized for the hybrid barcode and RFID solution we implemented for – and with - the sports store chain Centauro.
One of our EMEA partners, Cobalt Systems, won the award for “Innovative Processing System” at the PPMA awards for a print and apply solution Cobalt Systems deployed at Zebra’s Preston Label Factory using Zebra fixed industrial scanners and print engines.
Zebra was named to the CRN Edge Computing 100 list.
Zebra DNA Cloud and Zebra Workcloud were also named to the CRN Cloud 100 List.
The Stockies UK awarded the DC/POS Device of the Year to Zebra for the ZT411 label printer.

Bill Burns has been named Chief Executive Officer, Zebra Technologies, effective March 1, 2023.
Bill has more than 30 years of experience in the technology sector and joined Zebra Technologies in 2015. In his prior role as Chief Product & Solutions Officer, he oversaw the strategy, investments, and development of Zebra’s expansive portfolio of products and solutions. During this time, Bill extended Zebra’s market share leadership across its core businesses while entering adjacent and expansion markets, delivered on the company’s Enterprise Asset Intelligence vision, and strengthened Zebra’s strategic relationships with its customers and partners.
Prior to joining Zebra, Bill served as Chief Executive Officer of Embrane, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital backed startup which was acquired by Cisco in April 2015. Prior to joining Embrane, Bill served as Chief Executive Officer of Spirent Communications, a global leader in test and measurement solutions publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange. He has also held various executive and sales leadership roles at Tellabs, Inc.
Bill has a Master of Business Administration from Temple University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Misericordia University, and an Associate Degree in Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
